GALLERY: Ferrari F2007 F1
The ManicSlot Mini Review
Strengths:
- The Scalextric Ferrari F2007 represents strong collectibility
- Quick change braid system/easy digital conversion system
- Quality paint and finish levels
- Strong 'from the box' magnetic performance
- High level of detail
Weaknesses:
- Poor non magnetic performance
Verdict:
The Scalextric modern day F1 is an impressive beast, I would go as far as to say if you want a modern F1 then you need to buy a Scalextric slot. The Ferrari F1 cars have always been very popular with slot fans selling out pretty soon after release for obvious reasons.
The Ferrari F2007 is an impressive looking slot on the track with strong magnetic performance (well under 6 seconds on my track!). I'm also very happy with Scalextric's efforts to capture Kimi's helmet design unlike some of the earlier silver helmets. If you're into F1 then these cars are a 'no brainer', get one if you can!

GALLERY: Peugeot 908
The ManicSlot Mini Review
Strengths:
- The Scalextric Peugeot 908 represents above above average collectibility
- Quick change braid system/easy digital conversion system
- Quality paint and finish levels
- Excellent 'from the box' magnetic performance
- High level of detail / front and rear lights
Weaknesses:
- Below average non magnetic performance
Verdict:
I have always loved the look of matt black test slot cars. To me a slot without a detailed 'busy' multi-coloured livery allows you to judge the slot on its detail levels along. The Scalextric Peugeot 908 is a slot that passes that test with flying colours, it just looks bad! (or good if you know what I mean)
On the track the Peugeot 908 is the 7th fastest slot car FTB to ever grace my track so I don't need to tell you its bloody quick!! However more than just a rocket ship, the 908 (with its front and rear lights) looks awesome running on the track. Whether your a LMP prototype fan or not, the 908 is an impressive offering from Scalextric.

MOVIE: GT5 Opening
NEWS: Gulf Team Set
What could be more popular than a Gulf Oils liveried Aston Martin? 2 Gulf Oils liveried Aston Martins of course! Scalextric will soon be releasing the long awaited Gulf Oils liveried C3055A Aston Martin Limited Edition box set and boy does it look like a must have for any serious motor sport/slot car fan!
The Scalextric DBR9 GT1 has been around for a while and hasn't lost any of its huge appeal but I think it will be the first release of the Lola Aston Martin LMP1 that will make this box set very popular. Get one quickly if you can as I think this set will be very popular.
