Scalextric are going to be releasing a boxed limited edition Vodafone McLaren Mercedes to celebrate Lewis Hamilton's 2008 F1 World Championship.
I'm not a big Lewis Hamilton fan but I do like the look of this limited edition release, the McLaren livery is stunning on the track. It's nice to see Scalextric decaling/painting a F1 drivers helmet for a change, something I think all Scalextric models should have. I'm sure Scalextric will be thinking of releasing a series of these for each F1 world champion.

From what I've been reading this release isn't being very well received by slotters, perhaps a sign of the economic climate? I haven't seen what this LE will retail for but I think the concept Scalextic are promoting here is great. I for one will definitely be getting one and hope more will be released in the future.
