Scalextric will soon be releasing the limited edition Brawn GP Jenson Button 2009 F1 car. Although the slot and LE packaging looks fantastic, it will be interesting to see how popular this release will be now that Brawn GP is no more? I think Scalextric may have benefited by releasing this car earlier.
This from Scalextric: 'Jenson Button completed a sensational year to become the 2009 FIA Formula One World Champion for the Brawn GP Formula One team in only their first competitive season. Son of former Rallycross driver John Button, Jenson began his racing in a kart at the age of eight. After a distinguished early racing career, Button moved into Formula One in 2000 with Williams, progressing onto Benetton and Renault over the following two years.
In 2003, Button move onto the BAR team, which later became BAR Honda, where he took the first win of his career at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix. On 5th March 2009, it was announced that the former Honda Racing F1 Team would become Brawn GP, following a buy-out led by Ross Brawn. In a scintillating first season for Brawn GP in 2009, Button won the Driver’s Championship with an incredible 95 points, including 6 victories.'
