Looks like Porsche have decided to lift the bar in the GT class with the release of the 2011 GT3 RSR. Starting at 410,000 Euro the 2011 version of the most successful GT racer in the world will set you back a pretty penny but then it's not the most successful for nothing...

This from Zer Customs; "Over the weekend, Porsche has revealed the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR - the latest version of their successful racing car. The new 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR comes with a 4.0-litre, 6-cylinder boxer engine that now develops 455 hp (355 kW) at 7,800 rpm and 450 Nm of torque. The maximum rev range of the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR continues to be 9,400 rpm. The engine of the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is coupled with a six-speed gearbox with sequential jaw-type shift that comes with oil/water heat exchanger, single-mass flywheel, hydraulic disengagement lever and a three-plate carbon-fiber clutch. The 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is also equipped with a limited slip differential 45/65 percent."

a new front lip that give more downforce on the front axle, wider, 12 inch front wheels, and a new rear wing. The rear lid of the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR has been optimized for improved air ducting.

The power increase results from an engine management system which adapts even better to different fuel grades, as well as a redesigned exhaust system and a modified air intake housing. Moreover, the derivability of the famously efficient engine has undergone further improvements. Maximum revs remain unchanged at 9,400 rpm."
