NEWS: Scalextric Maserati 250F

Scalextric are about to release a new livery for the Maserati 250F, a Scalextric release I have always enjoyed.  Seeing a Maserati not in red is a strange thing but the Jo Bonnier liver looks impressive and I'll be adding this to my line-up of classic F1s for sure.

This from Wikipedia; 'The Constructors' World Championship was introduced in 1958, by which time the 250F was generally outclassed.

However, the car remained a favourite with the privateers, including Maria Teresa de Filippis and was used until 1960. In total, the 250F competed in 46 Formula One championship races with 277 entries, leading to eight wins.

Success was not limited to World Championship events with 250F drivers winning many non-championship races around the world.

Stirling Moss later said that the 250F was the nicest front-engined F1 car he drove.' You have to watch this footage...no roll bar, no fire suit and no seat belt...what epic footage of the Manuel hard at work!
