Pescarolo 2006/2007 & Peugeot 908 PML
Avant Slot will be releasing the 2006 Pescarolo Test Car, (matt black) as a limited edition of 1,000 units only. You can tell it's a pre 2007 Le Mans car as it has only one roll bar, for the driver. Le Mans ACO regulations state that as of 2007, 'Although a passenger seat is not used, cars have to be designed to carry two people.'
Avant Slot will also be releasing the 2007 Le Mans Pescarolo #17. This car finished 13th, 44 laps behind the winning car, the #1 Audi R10 TDI. One of the body differences between the 2006 and 2007 Pescarolo is the passenger seat and roll bar on the 2007 car. Overall, the cars look very nice although the wheels look a little small, something Avant's Audi R10 TDI suffered from
aesthetically.
The second new model Avant Slot will soon be releasing is the Peugeot 908 HDi. The first release will be the Test Car, (matt black) once again limited edition of 1,000 units. I'm sure you will agree, this slot in matt black just looks awesome!
Avant Slot will also be releasing the 2007 Le Mans Peugeot 908 HDi #7. An interesting first choice as this car didn't finish Le Mans due to an engine injection problem after 338 laps. The #8 Peugeot finished second, 10 laps behind the #1 Audi R10 TDI. I'm sure Avant will be releasing the #8 Peugeot soon enough.
