NEWS: Hobby Slot Courage

COURAGE C60 # 13, Le Mans 2003

Hobby Slot Racing, a Spanish manufacture will soon release the Le Mans SERAM GROUP 2003 Courage C60. The cars finished in 7th, 17 laps behind the winning Bentley Speed 8 #7. The Brown Brothers just posted these pictures.

Looking at the images, Hobby Slots offering is designed to be a fast light-weight racer. The Courage is fitted with a 23,000rpm motor and 9/27 bronze gearing, total slot weight is 86 grams, (body 20 grams).

Paint work and decals look very good, I'm also impressed with the models detail although a nice touch would have been driver's helmet detail. One thing that looks a little out of scale is the huge rear-vision mirrors.

The Courage chassis is setup with the almost mandatory, (these days) adjustable motor pod.

Interesting that the standard rubber supplied with the Courage are variegated, similar to the old ProSlot rubber.
