I recently had the opportunity to add a Scaleauto BMW Z4 (at a good price I might add) to my line-up of Scaleauto slot cars.  I had always liked the look of the Z4, even as a street car it has a unique 'classic' shape and quality about it.  Scaleauto's offering is equally stunning in appearance and very impressive on the track.  Scaleauto have also just released the new 'Studie AGs' Super GT Z4 (SC-6028) with Japanese Magna-type themed livery which looks awesome - this Z4 exercise might get expensive!

From Wikipedia: 'An FIA GT3-specification car available to private teams.[11] While the production version of the BMW Z4 has a six-cylinder engine, the GT3 car is powered by a 4.4-litre eight-cylinder engine derived from the BMW M3 GTS, which produces approx. 515 PS (379 kW; 508 bhp).

The weight of the BMW Z4 GT3 is approx. 1,190 kilograms (2,624 lb). In its first year of racing, the car proved competitive in the FIA GT3 European Championship as well as not only emerging victorious from the Dubai 24 Hour endurance event, but also heading to second place from a low 49th position at the 2011 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps event by the Need For Speed Team Schubert.

Nobuteru Taniguchi and Taku Bamba were the champions of the GT300 class in the 2011 Super GT season.

NEWS: Scaleauto BMW Z4 GT3 (SC6028)

Scaleauto BMW Z4 GT3
SC-6028, Studie AG, Japanese Super GT Series

Ok so if the BMW Z4 wasn't sexy enough for you as a slot car, enter the 'Studie AGs' livery from Scaleauto!  Scaleauto have released some great photos of their soon to be released BMW Z4 GT3 and it looks like a complete cracker!  I believe the Studie AG Z4 ran in the Japanese Super GT Series during 2012.  Regardless, it's a awesome looking livery and one I'll be looking to add to my collection of Scaleauto slots for sure.

NEWS: Scaleauto BMW Z4 GT3

SC-6020 'Schubert Motorsport' BMW Z4 GT3
24hr Barcelona 2011 'Class A6' Winner

Scaleauto have just released some photos of their third BMW Z4 GT3 livery and its of the Schubert Motorsport entry that won the Barcelona 24hr enduro no less.  The livery is impressive, I particularly like the white grid pattern on the grey paint and the yellow tail should make for an eye catching livery on the track.

Scaleauto continues to release impressive looking slot cars with impressive engineering that handle very well on the track - every collection should have at least one. :)

Detail levels look fantastic (inside and out) and Scaleauto have captured the unique and aggressive look of the Z4 really well.  My only criticism would be the silver mags, the Schubert Motorsport Barcelona entry had black mags and I know livery accuracy will be an issue for some.  For me its more that I think the black mags would look way better on the car.

The above photo is the property of Schubert Motorsport.

The rear wheel arches looks awesome along with the rear splitter and exhaust detail, great work Scaleauto and keep them coming.
