NEWS: LE Newman 956C

Slot.it CW07 Porsche 956C
'Newman' Limited Edition

Joseline has just sent the specification card on Slot.it's release of the very popular Newman liveried Porsche 956 (CW09). The car is mounted with the new C1 tires, and the usual pair of bonus S2 tires have been replaced by a bonus M2 sized Allen key (PA06).

The Newman Porsche has for a long time been one of my favourite Slot.it releases. This release is a great opportunity for those who originally missed out on the 1984 winning car to get their hands on the 85 Le Mans winning car.

Slot.it have also sent through some high resolution photos of the Newman (above) so enjoy!

NEWS: Carrera 458GT

Carrera Ferrari 458GT 'Italia'

Carrera has just announced that hot on the heals of their stunning Ferrari 599XX that the next prancing horse to get the Carrera treatment will be the 458GT.

Carrera will initially be releasing two 458GT models, items number 27342 and 27343. At this stage the exact racing liveries are unknown with Carrera referring to both the releases as simply 'Italia' which probably refers to the 458 Italia Challenge series.

I have one of Carrera's Ferrari 599XX slots and its a wonderful slot car to drive, here's hoping Carrera can pull it off with the 458GT as well.

PUBLICATION: SSR Autumn/Winter 2010

Stryker Slot Racing
Autumn/Winter 2010 Newsletter

I've just received Stryker Slot Racing's Autumn/Winter 2010 Newsletter (Jon Grainger) latters newsletter (Autumn/Winter 2010) and it makes for one hell of an interesting read. Included in the newly formatted 32 page read is an interview with Sir Stirling Moss where he speaks about his career and the current F1 drivers and teams.

Unfortunately despite having never won a driver's championship himself, Stirling has some rather strong opinions on the 7 times World champion Michael Schumacher's career and his return to F1.

If you would like to subscribe to SSR's bi-monthly newsletter you can do so on the SSR Website Here

What's fantastic about this truck is that you will be able to use it to display your favourite slot, perhaps even a Racer Ferrari from that period!
