Mas Slot have released something very special from their 'Slot Film' series, (particularly if you're from Australia).  Mad Max's Falcon XB 'Interceptor' from the 1979 movie Mad Max.  Made from resin and limited to 150 units this has to be the best 1/32 scale version of the Interceptor I've ever seen which is good as it will set you back a shinny penny (or two).

Detail levels are fantastic, just look at those side exhausts and the front grill!  The slot comes with interior lighting as well as front and rear lights.  The model is fitted with a siren (when fitted with a battery) although I don't know how often Max used the black Interceptor's siren in the movie.  The model also comes with 2 figures, Max the driver and the 'Toecutter' character featured in the movie.

Made of resin, with master made ​​by Dani del Toro.  Incorporates lights in front headlights, taillights and intermittent siren (with battery).

Figure includes Toecutte ("bad" in the film), a part of the car driver, the policeman Max Rockatansky.

Numbered edition limited to 150 units.'

Given Slot.it are going to release the Limited Edition Le Mans Winners Porsche 911 GT1 EVO 98 this week I thought I would post some photos of the 1998 'Test' Porsche to wet the appetite!  For those who have one already you'll know that these cars do not disappoint the track and as you can see for the photos, details levels are top shelf stuff!

By comparison to Fly's version of this amazing motorcar, Slot.it have done a great job capturing the proportions of the 911 GT1.  Fly has always been the king in the affordable detail department as far as I'm concern but Slot.it have done a fantastic job with their version.  The one clear difference between the two manufactures, one goes like a sh!t storm and the other goes like...well let's just say she need a far bit of TLC.  I'll let you decide which one the Slot.it is. ;)  

From Slot.it: 'The 911 GT1 EVO 98 was the car created by Porsche to compete in the GT1 category in 1998, at the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the FIA GT international championship. At the beginning, the GT1 were Grand Touring cars modified for competitions, but in the last years they got more and more similar to racing prototypes.

Porsche had already run in GT1 in earlier years, but the '98 car was a brand new model. This was the first car built by Porsche with a carbon composite monocoque chassis. It came equipped with front and rear double wishbone suspensions with pushrod, 18” wheels, carbon brake discs. Engine was a six-cylinder, flat, 3.2 litres twin turbo, 4 valves per cylinder, water-cooled, unit, with maximum torque of 630 Nm at 5000 rpm and maximum power of 550 hp at 7200 rpm.

Six-speed gearbox type was sequential with triple disc carbon fibre clutch. Fuel tank capacity 100 litres. The first complete new GT1 car got on the track for the shakedown in the late February, in Weissach, on the private Porsche test track, with expert Bob Wollek at the wheel. In 1998, the FIA GT championship was dominated by Mercedes, but Porsche was able to win the Le Mans 24 Hours.'
