Slot.it has to be the most successful high performance slot car manufacture on the market today. As we approach the golden part of the year for slot car releases, I thought it would be interesting to see what Slot.it has planned for us next.
Now that Slot.it has redesigned the Audi R8C it looks like they will be releasing all of the 6 liveried models again. The second Audi R8C to be released will be the no. 9 from Le Mans 1999 (CA12b). The Audi is due for release some time in August 2009.
Hot on the heels of the Le Mans R390 'test' car will be the no. 32 Nissan R390 GT1 which finished 3nd at Le Mans in 1998, (CA14b). This one will be a must have for any serious Slot.it fan and is due for release in the 3rd quarter 2009.
Question, "How many Porsche 956/962s are enough?" Answer, "You can never have too much of a good thing!" When I first saw this livery I thought Slot.it had gone dotty but strangely the more I see this livery, the more I like it. The 'tic tac' Porsche 962C KH no. 17 raced in 1989 (CA17a) and will be released around October 2009, I think this one will be popular.
Slot.it will continue to release the Ferrari F40 in a kit form. While I don't mind the kit form, I would like to see some F40s released as RTR slots in the future. This livery looks very nice, the no. 41 F40 was raced at Le Mans in 1995 (KF02c) and will be release in the 3rd quarter of 2009.
The next release for 2009 is very exciting and a must have, particularly if you collect the LE 'Le Mans winners' Slot.it cars. The Mazda 787B no. 55 which won Le Mans in 1991, (CW06) will be very popular and I would expect it to sell out quickly.
Slot.it have other releases planned for the second half of 2009 like the all new Chaparral 2E (CA16a), the Gulf liveried BMW McLaren F1 GTR no. 41 which came 2nd at Le Mans in 1997 (CA10d) and a rerelease of the ever popular LE Newman Porsche 956C no. 7, winner at Le Mans in 1985.
A quick look into 2010 reveals Slot.it will be releasing 2 Jaguar XJR12s, the Jaguars came 2nd and 3rd at Le Mans in 1991 - absolutely STUNNING slots. I don't know about you but I'm going to be sending a lot of my hard earned dollars Mr Slot.its way over the next 6 months!

I'm seriously hoping Slot.It decide to do some more Le Mans cars from like 1995 through to 1998 or whatever.
It'd be good to see a Slot.It Porsche 911 GT1 98, or even a Mercedes Benz CLK GTR.
Would complement the field of cars like the McLaren F1, the Ferrari F40, and even the Nissan R390 rather nicely.
